Do white gold rings typically have the 14k stamp on them or is that just on yellow gold?
the one i have does but i’m not sure if all of them have it.

I have a white gold engagement ring. I have had it since November, my wedding is October 28th… how soon before the ceremony should I have my ring re-plated (where they recoat it in white gold)?
I want to make sure that I have it done and back in time for the ceremony, but I don’t want to get it done too early and have it tarnish…. anyone had any experiece w/ this?
Nobody is going to be looking that close. I work 50-75 weddings every year and believe me, anyone looking closer than a glance is nobody you need to worry about. People who ogle are rude, so don’t do it for THEM.
If you are worried about the rings photo, don’t. A good photographer knows what lenses and lighting to use.
If you feel you must because your ring has turned an obvious yellow, you can have it replated a few weeks ahead of time, but don’t wear it unless you have to. Keep it out of both tap & well water unless you are rinsing off cleaner. Don’t wear it if you swim in ocean/lake/pool water and you should be just fine.
Hint: if you ring tarnished, don’t take it back to the jeweler who sold it to you. Neither white gold or platinum properly rhodium plated should tarnish to a point where it is noticeable over any short period of time. With proper care, It should last years before beginning to show any discoloration.
Actually we were just getting our marriage blessed by a catholic priest. This dream happened yesterday before the ceremony. does anyone know if it means good or ba d luck. i did find the diamond in my dream it was on the ground of a dirty dinner/bar floor.
The dream does not represent luck of any kind. It represents your nervousness about the wedding and what bad thing might happen there. But then, as you see, even if the worst happened at the wedding, you would still be happy. That is shown by your finding the diamond.
Congratulations! I wish you a blessed life.
I’m mystified as to how people put the ends of knotted hemp together to form shapes, rings, etc. I would like to try to make a peace sign for a necklace, and also a ring, but so far I can only make straight things like necklaces and bracelets. How do people make shapes and rings?
I know how to do the square, zigzag, overhand, half, and spiral knots. I just can’t figure out how to put the shape together.
It all depends on the method of the knots. Check out macrame’ books and I even use Chinese knotting books.
My husband and I got our wedding bands from Reed’s Jewelers in summer of 2005. They are scratched and scuffed up quite a bit. Will it cost anything to take them in to have them cleaned and buffed?
Why don’t you try giving them a call to check with them.I don’t think they should charge you anything for cleaning your wedding bands. We got ours from Bvlgari and I’ve been going back to them for cleaning & all.F.O.C.
Good luck,dear!
Please answer honestly. This is just a hypothetical question.

Truthfully, would you be upset if you recieved a blue sapphire and diamond 3-stone engagement ring on a white gold band instead of all diamonds?

I wear a 2.5 ct oval shaped brilliant cut flawless deep red almandine garnet framed by 1 ct of round champagne diamonds set in 14 kt gold as an e-ring. Garnets are my husband’s birthstone and I happen to love them.
If he had given me a diamond, it would have been a colored one, hopefully a canary, champagne, or chocolate one.
So no I would not be upset…I much rather have a unique ring than the same old white diamond ring that everybody’s uncle wears.
All 3 bands go on the same finger, the Last one, Eternity..is given to mark a special occasion eg: a birth, an anniversary or the seven year itch.
I have an engagement ring, a wedding band, and an anniversary ring. Should they all be worn on one finger, and if so in what order?
The proper way to wear your rings is the wedding band closest to your heart…the engagement ring closest to the wallet…your anniversary ring I’m not sure of…
What hand do Egyptian men wear their engagement rings on? And do they put the ring on the other hand after they are married?
Being that Egypt is an Islamic nation populated by mostly Arabs the wearing of an engagement ring is not a Muslim tradition. Muslim marriages are often arranged by parents. The courtship and engagement process is not a part of Muslim culture in the way it is in western societies.
My husband is going into computer repair and I need to find a nonmagnetic wedding band for him to wear, any suggestions?
Here is what I did..I went to www.kay.com and in the search section put in non magnetic wedding bands. You will be surprised how many come up in the search. Hope that helps.
